Daytona State College Foundation announces recipients of Principal Scholarships 

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (June 20, 2011) – The Daytona State College Foundation has awarded Principal Scholarships worth $1,000 each to 19 high school graduates from Flagler and Volusia counties. 

“The Daytona State College Foundation is delighted to announce these scholarship recipients,” said the Foundation’s Senior Executive Director Donna Sue Sanders. “These 19 students have made a commitment to pursue higher education and the Foundation would like to acknowledge its generous supporters who sustain our mission of providing financial assistance to students as well as funding for critical needs that are beyond the scope of the College's budget.” 

This year’s Principal Scholarship recipients are: Stephanie Batista, Flagler Palm Coast High School; Kaley Birch, Deltona High School; Joshua Brown, Riverbend Academy of Ormond Beach; Omaraliz Bosques, DeLand High School; Joseph Chemor, New Smyrna Beach High School; Shelby Crandlemire, Warner Christian Academy; Karol Haugan, Daytona State College High School; Jordan Jones, Matanzas High School; Taylor Jordan, Mainland High School; Matthew Khorassani, Calvary Christian Academy; Cameron McGuire, Spruce Creek High School; Clara Reamor, Halifax Academy; Danielle Sanseverino, Seabreeze High School; Philip Schervish, Atlantic High School; Summer Stanfield, Lighthouse Christian Academy; Gabriella Torres, Taylor T. DeWitt High School; Meghan Vargas, Father Lopez Catholic High School; Christine Wells, Pine Ridge High School; and Cherish Wright, Trinity Christian Academy. 

The Daytona State College Foundation is a not-for-profit, Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) corporation chartered under Florida Statutes to serve as a direct support organization of Daytona State College.
